CMON

Today we went to CMON, the new Children's Museum of Naples, with our church. 

 The kids had a great time exploring, learning & pretending

 The biggest hits were the exhibit of winter (where you could go in an igloo and touch ice- all the southern Florida kids thought it was great), the produce market and the veterinarian clinic.

 I didn't take pictures at any of those spots though, we were too busy playing. :)

 Hudson also loved the library there. This room was not as popular, so it was quiet and Hudson chose a book about the human body. He loves to read and learn.

Oak Island, NC

Last week, we rocked Oak Island, NC with all of Trent's family.

Here we're on a ferry traveling to an aquarium. Hudson loved feeding the birds with Nana and Anna Kate liked watching.

Every day we played in the surf and sand (except aquarium day). The waves were bigger than our calm beach, so playing in the waves was a highlight for Hudson.

I wish I had pictures of all the cousins playing on the beach, Hudson & Trent going out in the sea kayak and Hudson body surfing. 

We have a picture of Trent & I in front of this sign in 2002. I'll have to find it to post a picture of us at the same spot 10 years apart.

We borrowed a dvd player from a friend, which was a huge hit with Hudson! He couldn't believe that we would let him watch that many videos in one day (while traveling). He loved it.  I do wish I had more pictures documenting the fun.

It was a wonderful trip that we all 4 enjoyed!

Summer Fun

Hudson collected rocks outside and then built "Daddy" to play with him inside.

 Hudson loves swimming! We went to a public pool with our church and Hudson spent hours jumping off the diving board, swimming to the side and then getting back in line to jump again. His favorite jumps are a cannonball and a spin/twist jump. He also loves doing front and back flips (his back flip is he starts backwards and pretty much lands on his back) off the side of our pool.

The other couple hours were spent going down the slides. He loves them!

They're catching a frog here. They never actually got this one, but did "pet it" a lot and chased it around while it hopped.

A little puddle can provide a lot of entertainment.

Track Meet

For 8 Monday evenings in the summer, there is a free track meet for kids of all ages at Naples High School. 

 Hudson & Anna Kate love it. They can do long jump, discus and shot put.

 Then, they have a 50 yard dash & 100 yard dash for kids 6 and under. My videos of the kids doing these races are missing (must be deleted by little fingers) from my phone).

 Then, everyone is invited to run a mile. Hudson does about 1/2 mile. Then, he can compete in the 400m, 800m & 200m.
