In just 3 weeks...

...we're moving to Naples, Florida!!

Trent got an official call (church language for job) to be an Assistant Pastor (upon ordination) at Covenant Presbyterian. He'll be the pastor to Family & Men's ministries.

Our plan is to leave Dallas on April 9th & head east and south. He's starting his new position on April 15th. In between now and then, we're going on a brief house-hunting trip next week.
Although we are sad to leave our current church & friends we've made in Dallas, we are thrilled with all that is store for us in Naples.

Hey Emily-
My name is Emily too and my husband and I just graduated from Covenant seminary this past December. We actually live in Naples too. My husband and I grew up here (I grew up going to Covenant- where you will be). My husband, Matt is working with a church called Bay Pres. and will be planting a daughter church from them in about a year. I just saw you were moving to my hometown and wanted to tell you we would love to officially meet you and Trent (i worked in the admissions office at Covenant so i know you but you do not know me. :) We are having baby #2 also, so we have a lot in common. Please email me so we can get together when you get here!

This is awesome, T&E! My parents live maybe 30-40 minutes from that church. Used to go to the Wiggins Pass Beach just around the corner from there.

If you're going down there and need a place to stay, please call my folks. Mom would be a dynamite babysitter for Hudson and the toys are already there!

If you go to Sanibel Island, they're 2 miles from the causeway.

Best of the best in your new ministry!

If you need anything from my parents, email us at jjdys(at)verizon.net!

That is really exciting, Emily! You have lots of big changes coming up as you prepare for a new life in Florida and a new little one. Florida has a special place in my heart since it's where I have lived longer than any other place. And Naples is a place like no other given its proximity to both the ocean and the Everglades. I hope this call is a blessing to your family.
